Step-by-Step Guide to Send SMS Campaigns with The ConvertWay

SMS campaigns are targeted marketing efforts delivered through text messages to engage and inform customers. These campaigns promote products, offer exclusive deals, and enhance customer loyalty. They provide a direct and personal communication channel, enabling brands to connect with their audience effectively and drive sales through concise and impactful messages.

With our Campaigns feature you can send SMS campaigns to your subscriber list in a few easy steps!

Step 1: Sender ID Approval



Get the Sender ID from your service provider and get it approved. Read this document to learn more.

Now to add this Sender ID: Settings > Sender ID

Note: This is only for Indian users.

Step 2: Creating the Campaign



To set up your SMS campaign- Campaigns > SMS Campaigns

Now add a suitable title to your campaign under the Enter Campaign Title field.

Step 3: Select your Target Audience



Identifying the right audience is crucial for sending campaigns that enhance engagement and conversion.

Choose an option among Filter, Segment, and Subscriber lists to segregate your audience. Let’s see what these options are in detail:

Under this option, you can segregate customers based on the pre-set segments from the drop-down list.

There are two types of segments:

Shopify Segments: These segments are created by Shopify and for this type of segment you can only select one category from the Select Segment drop-down.

You can also choose to exclude multiple categories under the Exclude Segment drop-down, however, the excluded categories must be from TCW segments only.

TCW Segments: These segments are created in TCW and for this type of segment you can choose multiple options from the Select Segment drop-down, you can also exclude multiple segments under the Exclude Segment drop-down to segregate the right audience.

Under this option, you can segregate your subscribers based on various criteria such as total spent, number of orders, etc from the drop-down menu of the filters.

You can also use the boolean operator OR/AND to segregate the right audience for your campaign

Under this option, you can choose the subscriber list you want to send the campaign to.

Step 4: Setting up the Template



For a preset template go to: Browse > select template > Click on Select

You can select a template with or without any discount. If you choose one with the discount variable you will have to specify the {discount_value} and {discount_code}.

To create a customized template select Custom Template.

Enter your Sender ID and your DLT Template ID.

Now type out the text and add variables from the Available Variables.

Step 5: Test the Campaign



Now test the campaign: Send Test Message > Enter Sender ID, DLT Template ID, Phone number, and DLT registered template > Send

Step 6: Schedule the Campaign



Now to schedule the campaign by: Campaign timing > Instant/Schedule for later

Note: Under the Schedule for Later option only the timezones are available in the country where their store is located.

You can view the campaign scheduled for later in the Scheduled Campaigns Tab
