Shop Pass Integration
Overview
The ShopPass and Convertway integration empowers you to identify, engage, and convert your highest-intent website visitors through WhatsApp.
ShopPass identifies the high-value shoppers and tracks their behavior on site, while Convertway uses this data to send personalized WhatsApp messages triggered by the visitor's highest-intent action, thus seamlessly converting browsers into buyers.
How It Works
- ShopPass identifies website visitors and captures their session activities such as:
- Collection View
- Product View
- Add to Cart
- Checkout Clicked
- Checkout Abandon
- ShopPass shares the user journey data with Convertway.
- Convertway analyzes the session, identifies the highest-intent event of that session-say, "Add to Cart" or "Checkout Initiated"-and automatically sends a personalised WhatsApp message for that event if you have activated the custom flow with the same event.
This ensures visitors receive relevant and timely messages that boost conversions.
Integration Setup
Step 1: Enable Convertway Integration in ShopPass
To activate the integration, please contact the ShopPass Support Team and request to enable the Convertway Integration for your account.
Step 2: Activate ShopPass Integration in Convertway
Once enabled on the ShopPass side:
- Go to your Convertway Dashboard
- Navigate to Integrations → ShopPass
- Activate the integration
Creating Templates for ShopPass Events
Before you start engaging visitors, you need to create WhatsApp templates specific to ShopPass events.
Steps:
- Go to Templates → WhatsApp Templates → ShopPass Integration → ShopPass Events
- Create a new template for each event you plan to use.
Important:
Use only the variables mapped to each event.
Unmapped variables may cause message failures if variable values are missing at the time of sending.

Example:
If you’re creating a template for “Add to Cart,” only use the variables listed under that event.
Creating ShopPass Custom Flows
Once templates are ready:
- Navigate to Flows → Custom Flows
- Select ShopPass Events (Collection View, Product View, Add to Cart, Checkout Initiated, Checkout Clicked)
- Configure the desired custom flow using your created templates
Templates created under the ShopPass category will automatically appear in the ShopPass-triggered events list for flow setup.
Key Notes
- This integration currently supports WhatsApp only
- Works exclusively with your own WABA (WhatsApp Business Account)
- Ensure each event template uses only its defined variables to prevent delivery issues
