How to use Whatsapp Catalogue
Overview
This guide will walk you through the full functionality of the WhatsApp Catalogue feature in The Convert Way (TCW) app. You’ll learn how to create or sync a catalogue, send products via single or multi-product message templates on WhatsApp, and integrate with Shopify for a seamless buying experience.
Catalogue Connect and Sync
Step 1: Creating a New Catalogue Using Shopify Products
1. Download your Shopify Products from TCW:
Navigate to the “Configure Catalogue” tab in the WhatsApp Catalogue section of TCW.
Click “Download” to download your products in an Excel format.
Upload Products to Facebook Business Manager (FBM):
2. Log in to Meta Business Suite.
Go to "All Tools" > "Commerce" > "Add Catalogue."
Choose your product category, business portfolio, and name for your catalogue.
Select “Connect to a data feed” and upload the Excel file from TCW.
Complete the upload process by selecting the default currency and confirming.
3. Connect Your Catalogue on TCW:
After successfully uploading, return to TCW.
Select your Facebook Business Portfolio.
Select your catalogue from the dropdown and click “Connect Catalogue.”
The catalogue will be connected, and the “Display Catalogue” toggle will appear to help you enable or disable the catalogue icon on WhatsApp.
NOTE: If you already have a catalogue in Meta Business Suite, skip Step 1
Step 2: Syncing an Existing Catalogue
1. Select Your Facebook Business Portfolio:
Select your business portfolio from the dropdown in the "Configure Catalogue" tab in TCW.
2. Fetch and Connect:
Click " Save" to fetch all catalogues from your Meta account.
Select the desired catalogue from the dropdown and click “ Connect Catalogue”
3. Enable/Disable Catalogue Display on WhatsApp:
Use the “ Display Catalogue” toggle to enable or disable the catalogue icon on WhatsApp. This lets you control whether customers can access your catalogue directly through your WhatsApp profile.
Send Product Messages
Step 3: Sending Single Product or Multi Product Message using Chat Bot
1. Create a Message
In the Send Message node, You'll find 2 options: Single Product Message or Multi Product Message
Select the desired type of product message
Now, Select the template and products you want to send in that message.
Click on Save
2. Create Order and Checkout
In the Shopify Integration Node, You'll find: Create Order, Create Checkout and Fetch Customer Details Node
In case of COD Order, use Create Order Node
In case of Prepaid Order, use Create Checkout Node
To fetch the details of customer from Shopify, use Fetch Customer Details Node
