Steps to Create a Catalogue on FBM using Shopify Products
Step 1: Download Your Shopify Products from TCW
- Log in to The Convert Way (TCW).
- Navigate to the WhatsApp Catalogue section under the Chatbot tab.
- Click on the Configure Catalogue tab.
- After Successful Facebook Login, Select the "Download your Shopify products" option and click on "Download".
- Check Your Inbox. You will receive an Excel file containing your Shopify products on your Email.
Note: You can use this Excel as a Data feed to create catalogue on Meta
Step 2: Create a Catalogue in Facebook Business Manager (FBM)
- Login to Meta Business Suite: Visit Meta Business Suite and log in to your account.
- Click on “All Tools”: In the Meta Business Suite dashboard, find the menu on the left and click on "All Tools".
- Select “Commerce”: Under All Tools, select "Commerce" to access the Commerce Manager.
- Add a New Catalogue: In the Commerce Manager, navigate to the Catalogues section and click on "Add Catalogue".
- Select Product Details
- Choose the appropriate Product Category, select your Business Portfolio, and enter the Catalogue Name.
- Click on "Next" to proceed.
- Upload Products: **Under the Upload Products section, select **Connect to a Data Feed and click "Connect Data Feed"
- Upload Your Shopify Product File
- On the next screen, choose Upload from your Computer. Browse and select the Excel file you downloaded from TCW.
- Click "Next" to continue.
- Name Your Data Feed & Select Currency
- Provide a name for your data feed, and choose the Default Currency from the dropdown.
- Click on "Upload" to finish your catalogue setup.
Step 3: Connect Your Catalogue on TCW
- Return to the Configure Catalogue tab in TCW App.
- Select your Facebook Business Portfolio from the dropdown.
- Click on "Save".
- Now, Select a Catalogue from Connect Your Catalogue dropdown and click on "Connect Catalogue".
- Your Catalogue is now ready for use!
Troubleshooting Tips
- Error During File Upload
- Ensure the file format is correct (.xlsx or .csv).
- Check if the columns in the Excel file match the required product details for Facebook. You can download a sample template from FBM for reference.
- Make sure that the product data (e.g., product ID, description) is not missing or incorrectly formatted.
- No Catalogue Created After Uploading the File
- Double-check the steps to ensure that the file was uploaded successfully.
- Ensure that your Meta Business Account is set up correctly, with proper permissions to create catalogues.
- Try re-uploading the file after ensuring the data is correctly filled.
- Unable to Find the "Commerce" or "Catalogues" Section in FBM
- Ensure you are using an Admin account that has access to Meta Business tools.
- Click on "All Tools" on the left-side menu and search for "Commerce". If it’s still not available, contact Meta support for assistance.
- Product Data Not Syncing Properly with TCW
- Make sure you’ve selected the correct Facebook Business Portfolio in the TCW app.
- Double-check that the catalogue in FBM is active and contains the correct products.
- Ensure that the "Connect Catalogue" step was completed successfully in TCW.
- If the issue persists, Contact TCW Support for assistance.
- Incorrect or Outdated Product Data in the Excel File
- Ensure that you are downloading the most recent version of your Shopify products from TCW.
- Check for any formatting issues or missing data before uploading the Excel file to FBM.
- Catalogue Upload Fails in FBM
- FBM may restrict file sizes or types. Ensure your file size is below the maximum limit and formatted correctly.
- You can break the product list into smaller segments or remove unnecessary columns to reduce file size.
- Unable to Connect Catalogue to TCW
- Confirm that you have selected the correct Facebook Business Portfolio.
- Try refreshing the page or logging out and back in to re-attempt syncing.
- If the issue persists, Contact TCW Support for assistance.
